About The Event
This workshop is designed for both newer spinners who want the “next steps” after learning to spin, as well as for more experienced spinners wanting to get away from their default yarn, or wanting to master a particular draft.
Join Lorna Ash of Shades of Ewe Fibreworks and learn how different drafts effect your final yarns. In this workshop you will learn how changing your draft, fibre preparation, and aspects of your wheel set up can help you change the yarn you are spinning. We will work our way through short forward draft, short backward draft, drafting from the fold and long draw and participants will make several smaller skeins of yarn as we work through these techniques.
Materials Needed:
· 100g of combed top, any wool
• 100g of a wool in a carded preparation, (roving, batts or rolags, or a combination of these are suitable)
Equipment Needed:

• 2-3 empty bobbins
• Lazy Kate
